Animator Don’t Cut down your Rate, Be Realistic Instead

Animators working in the field of animation are some of the most talented individuals. Unfortunately, they are often paid too low and they aren’t getting the job done. 

Do you know why? Animators are often not paid as much as a 3D character designer or even an animator at a computer game development company.

This is because unlike for example a writer who writes about a character by himself , an animator is a team player who works with others. 

Another thing that is the same when it comes to animation, but to some extent different, but you will have to study on your own. All in all, make sure that you’re getting hired as an animator and not someone who has no skills in this field at all or anything like that!

To cut down your rate, you need to make some changes that are going to drastically increase your sales leads. Talk about making a change for the better and get back in business! 

Cut down your rate by a potential client,have you ever been asked ?So what are the instant responses that would come into your mind? It would be a big no at first instance and you might be thinking, Am I worth it for this task .But if you think about it, you are given an opportunity to justify your rate.So here are 4 ways to deal with the situation.

  1. Describe the value of your services in detail before quoting a fee. There are hunderds of Animators in the world and most of them are selling their services, but only few can provide their services at an affordable price. Simply put, most of these services do not solve the real issues and problems faced by people in today’s society. So What do you do? You provide them with premium solutions which will value their project with your experience and Knowledge .
  2. The Most appealing price you can offer by categorizing  it as per work ,that will anchor to their needs , We are all aware of the fact that pricing is a fundamental and critical element in attracting/consumers to a product. The most common and effective price anchor is “best value”. However, there is a lot more value in “best price”. than in “best value”, which is why I like to use the concept of containing value.You can see that this is similar to the concept of hidden value, but the difference is that controlled pricing and contained value are two different things.
  3. If you’re really interested in working with them, think about scaling back your services to meet their price reduction.The competition is fierce and for most freelancers, it’s a no-brainer. There aren’t many clients that pay more than $50 per hour to have their projects done, but the ones that do are very serious about what they are paying for and the scope of their work. The best way is to find a project you love, then cut all costs as you move forward. 
  4. This means no compromises on quality, but it also means no money wasted to repaint and finish a project. Finding this balance between quality and cost is the key to great work! .
  5. Finally, recognize that this might be a warning sign not to work with them
